Estateplanning series offered by University of Arkansas The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service will host a three-part series, "Estate Planning for Farm & Business," which will teach individuals how to establish an estate plan individualized to each person's unique situation and circumstances.

Farmers invited for hay storage project

"Make hay while the sun shines." That's the old saying. Hopefully we will get some more hay put up this season before we get into fall. Hay harvests have been short for several producers.

Local dairy farmers attend national conference Scott and Cassie Davis,local dairy farmers from Prairie Grove, recently attended the Dairy Farmers of America Inc. (DFA) 2009 Southeast Area Young Cooperator (YC) Conference in Nashville, Tenn. The Davises were among approximately 70 DFA YCs who attended the conference, which provided the young producers with information about the industry and the cooperative among other topics.

Thirty days from today, Benton County residents will be able to apply for permits to burn dilapidated structures and rotting chicken houses on their property.
