Shiloh Christian quarterback Kiehl Frazier needed one series to get rid of any pregame jitters and find the right touch on his passes.

After that, everything got back to normal for the Saints' high-powered offense and their star passer on a windy Friday night.

Frazier stood in the pocket, threw for five first-half touchdowns and never let up after getting off to a slow start in a 42-14 rout of Farmington at Allen Holland Field.

The junior completed 15 of 20 passes for 261 yards and also ran for a 6-yard touchdown toward the end of the first half, helping Shiloh Christian clinch the 4A-1 Conference championship on the final night of the regular season.

"We just kind of settled down and kind of got used to the wind out here and who we're playing against," Frazier said. "Once we settled down, we really got going."

Frazier completed one of his first three passes, and Shiloh Christian (9-1, 7-0) went three-and-out on its opening series. But things dramatically changed after that, as the Saints scored on their next six possessions -- including 28 points in the second quarter -- to force a mercy rule after halftime.

"I'm not quite sure what happened on the first possession. We may have been a little antsy," Shiloh Christian coach Josh Floyd said. "Our kids were pretty fired up. It's the conference championship on the line (Friday night), so sometimes you start a little nervous."

Following a mishandled punt by Farmington (6-3-1, 5-2) in the opening minutes, Frazier found Chris Bryant in the corner of the end zone for 25-yard touchdown pass that gave Shiloh Christian a lead it never relinquished.

The quarterback and receiver connected on another touchdown pass 46 seconds into the second quarter, extending the Saints' lead to 21-0 following the 26-yard play. After building the big lead, Frazier sat out the second half, but it didn't seem to matter.

The Cardinals had trouble getting into an offensive rhythm, managing only two first downs in the first half and getting both of their touchdowns on long catches by wide receiver Logan Boudrey (9 receptions for 158 yards).

Overpowered by Shiloh Christian's defensive line, Farmington allowed five sacks and had minus-2 yards rushing. The Cardinals didn't score until Boudrey sneaked into the open field and raced for an 80-yard touchdown catch that cut the Saints' lead to 28-7 with 9:33 remaining in the first half.

That was as close as it got.

"We knew going into the ballgame that we were going to have to play near perfect to have a chance, and we didn't come anywhere close to that," Farmington coach Mike Adams said. "A lot of that was because of them."
